Christmas Lights

The countdown to Christmas has truly begun with the switching on of the Cork City Christmas Lights taking place on Patrick’s Street on Sunday November 13th.

Join special guests, Olympic rowing heroes Gary and Paul O’Donovan who will switch on the Christmas Lights with the Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Des Cahill and officially kick-start the countdown to Christmas in Cork.

Beginning at 6.30pm on Patrick’s Street with music from The Academy of Popular Music, the official switch on takes place at approx. 7.15pm with rumours of a special guest appearance by Santa Claus.

This event will be Irish Sign Language Interpreted.

Please note Park and Ride will be in operation from Black Ash to Lapps Quay from 11am to 8.30pm on Sunday 13th November.
