CHRISTMAS PARKING AND TRANSPORT INFORMATION

Christmas Opening Hours for Cork City Park and Ride – both at Black Ash Park and seasonal Christmas Park and Ride at County Hall – are available below, plus Christmas opening hours in Cork City Council operated Car Parks, along with links to Cork City Council’s Park by Phone service and some privately operated Car Parking options. Live details of available parking spaces can be found at: http://data.corkcity.ie/dataset/parking

BUS TRANSPORT

Regular bus services operate to and from Cork city centre. Information on routes is available at: http://www.buseireann.ie

Extra CHRISTMAS LATE NIGHT BUS Eireann  SERVICES:

Route 220 Ballincollig/Carrigaline via City Centre service is now 24 hour service and will operate as per normal timetable.

Bus Éireann will operate late night services this Christmas from Cork to Blarney, & Midleton, each Friday & Saturday night, from Friday, 6 December until Saturday, 21 December 2019.

These special Christmas services will depart each night at 01.00, 02.00 & 03.00 from St. Patrick Street, Cork City and will operate as follows:

Route 215: St Patrick Street (Easons) – Blackpool – Churchfield – Farranree – Killeens – Blarney – Cloghroe

Route 261: St Patrick Street (Savoy) – Dillons Cross – Mayfield – Glanmire – Glounthaune – Carrigtwohill – Midleton

Route 220:  Ballincollig/Carrigaline via City Centre service – Normal 24 hour service will operate – for timetable please see www.buseireann.ie

Regular fares apply and Department of Social Protection passes will be accepted.

PARK & RIDE

Park & Ride, Kinsale Road

Additional hours will be introduced to the Black Ash Park & Ride to coincide with GLOW opening hours. Normal charges will apply;

  • Open Sundays beginning November 17th 2019 from 11:00 to 20:30 up to and including December 29th.
  • Extension of opening hours to 22:00 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning on Thursday November 21st up to and including December 28th .
  • Extension of opening hours to 22:00 on Monday, December 23rd
  • Early close on Christmas Eve at 18:30
  • Closed Christmas Day, Stephen’s Day & New Year’s Day

Normal operating hours resume on 2nd Jan 2020

Temporary Park & Ride – County Hall

A temporary park & Ride will operate for 5 weeks between County Hall and Sheares Street at weekends beginning on Saturday, November 23rd;

  • Saturday Nov 23rd, 30th, Dec 7th, 14th and 21st the temporary park and ride will operate from 09:30 to 20:30
  • Sunday Nov 24th, Dec 1st, 8th and 15th the temporary park and ride will operate from 10:30 to 20:30
  • Sunday Dec 22nd the temporary park and ride will operate from 09:30 to 18:30

Price:

€5.00 for a family pass (includes parking & bus fare)

€3.00 adult return (includes parking & bus fare)

€1.50 child return (includes parking & bus fare)
