Christmas Parking

If you are travelling into Cork City Centre for the Christmas celebrations, there are multiple modes of travel available:

Bus Transport

A regular bus service is available to the city centre. Information on routes is available at:

Car Parks

There are 7 multi-storey car parks  in the city centre, plus a year-round Park and Ride Facility at Black Ash. Live details of  available spaces can be found at: http://data.corkcity.ie/dataset/parking

Christmas Opening Hours for Cork City Council and both Black Ash Park and Ride and extra Christmas Park and Ride provision at County Hall are below:

PAUL STREET CAR PARK

Open Monday to Saturday 07:30 to midnight; Sundays 11:30 to midnight (Normal charges apply)

  • Sundays 10th and 17th December 07:30 to midnight
  • Sunday 24th December 07:30 to 18:30
  • Closed 25th & 26th December 2016

Park & Ride

BLACK ASH PARK & RIDE

The Black Ash Park & Ride is located just off the Kinsale Road Roundabout. It has over 940 spaces.  Buses leave every 10 mins at peak times, the final stop is at Lapps Quay in the City Centre.

Open Monday to Saturday 07:30 to 19:15 (Normal charges apply)

  • Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th November

TEMPORARY CHRISTMAS PARK & RIDE AT COUNTY HALL – WEEKENDS ONLY

A temporary Park & Ride will operate from County hall on the Carrigrohane Road to Sheares Street. This service begins on November 25th and will run – weekends only – up to and including December 24th. Buses every 15 minutes. 

  • Open Saturdays 25th November, 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd December
  • First busdeparting County Hall at 09:30
  • Last busdeparting Sheares Street at 20:30
  • Open Sundays26th November, 3rd, 10th, 17th December
  • First bus departing County Hall at 10:30
  • Last bus departing Sheares Street at 20:30
  • Christmas Eve, Sunday 24th December
  • First bus departing County Hall at 10:30
  • Last bus departing Sheares Street at 18:00
